Helping Hands

Meet the Therapist

With over 15 years of experience I have developed a passion for empowering individuals in their journey. The cornerstone of therapy is building a positive relationship together. I am an empathetic therapist, who is both sensitive and affirming of others and their personal backgrounds, and uses this knowledge to work towards growth and healing.

I have 10 years of experience as a school based social worker and IEP case manager.  This experience provided me a strong knowledge of child development with sensitivity to the needs of families with children. I understand IEP's, school Behavior Intervention Plans, people who identify as being on the Autism Spectrum, and adolescents who identify as transgender.

I have cherished deeply the experiences had as a CASA volunteer and Special Education Advocate while residing in Illinois.  While networking with overseas grassroots agencies I was able to share my knowledge of positive behavior interventions to school teachers and school proprietors with the organization Social Services for Women and Children in Cameroon, Central Africa. These experiences have shaped me personally and professionally.
